Career Choice｜Take Advice from the Bible｜Wise Library 1985
How to choose a career?
According to the Bible’s instruction, “one’s gift is prophecy” and you know the way to where you are going (Romans 12:6).In God’s grace, each of us receives different talents from God that we can do certain things particularly well.
By wasting our talents, we fall short of God’s expectations. It’s worth noting that God demands us to “show the same diligence” til the end (Hebrews 6:11-12). According to the Bible’s instruction, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
Hard work will pay off in the end. The Bible says, “Work with your hands” so that you may “be dependent on no one”(1 Thessalonians 4:11-12).
God commands us to work“heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (Colossians 3:23-24). In Ephesians 5:15-17, it says “Be very careful… making the most of every opportunity… Do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”Blessed is the one who executes God’s law “day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2).
How we arrange our time will be the most persuasive testimonies of our faith.
